The initiative focuses on engaging local communities in planting and caring for trees, especially in areas lacking green infrastructure.
It emphasizes long-term care, selecting appropriate species, and involving diverse stakeholders including municipalities, schools, civic groups, and businesses. These efforts not only improve environmental health and climate resilience but also foster civic engagement and promote sustainability values.
Programs are active in Czechia, Slovakia, and Poland, involving thousands of participants. This publication serves as a comparative study and strategic guideline for expanding these efforts across Central and wider Europe.
